Are Adults Allowed At Build A Bear Without Children?
i am an adult stuffed animal collectoenthusiast, and I would love to have a BAB plush or two as I have a BAB store in a mall in a city not too far from me. However I see these horseshit policies at arcades and stuff (namely Chuck E Cheese, though i can see this as it’s essentially a kids casino though still seems wrong to me to straight up refuse entry based on age) that say single or groups of adults aren’t allowed in without kids. If there is policy like this in place at BAB that’s gonna be absolutely soul crushing to be treated as a potential pedophile when all I wanted was a stuffed animal and not your spoiled brat. In fact I would find something like a main office to contact and try to escalate this as it’s age discrimination no matter how they try to dress it up. Does anyone know if Build A Bear has any BS policies like this? I’d love to go one day and they have things like Pokémon and Disney and how dare anyone over the age of 18 be huge nerds/kids at heart and like these things? Looking forward to a visit one day 😄
Missed out on a $18k progressive bonus at an Indian casino in Ca due to a drunk kid.
Happened years ago, but thought I'd share. I was playing "4 Card Poker" at Morongo. I was in the far left seat (last to get cards) and my buddy was in seat one. I was doing pretty good up to this point lol. So this drunk 22ish year old stumbles up with his gf and sits in the middle. He asks the dealer if the "game is hard" to figure out. She says no and ensures him she would help him out. So my buddy and I place our antes and the $1 for the bonus progressive. The kid outs his money out in the wrong spot, but the dealer helps him out and giggles. She pulls the first sets of cards and hands them to my buddy. Just barely grabs the next set to hand to the kid....he asks if he can sit out this hand to "watch how it works". She hesitates and literally says she not supposed to. Calls for the "floor" a few times but he was busy. Ends up pushing his bet back to him and says she won't do it again. Proceeds to hand me his pile of cards and she takes the pile I...would have gotten. I look down to two pair. Not bad, maybe it worked out in my favor. The dealer opens four Aces and a Jack. She opened the progressive jackpot. Four Aces is the highest. She realizes what she had done and immediately starts apologizing to me. To top it all off, the kid stands up grabs his drink and says "man, you guys got killed" and walks away. Ugh, he would have got like $800 table share i believe if she didn't push back his friggen bet!
So their earnings are being announced on the 10th, and I believe they’re gonna tank even more since covid started right? They make most of their money from parents giving their children hundreds of dollars to spend on what are basically kid casinos. They’re open for takeout, not sure about the arcades. I’ve never actually been inside a Dave n Busters, but from my research they’re a family chain restaurant and their open for takeout, so no games for the kiddies. Thusly no money! Please tell me your opinions before I do something stupid, but I feel like I’m gonna get some tendies Edit: I installed Robinhood a week or two ago so I’m very new at this, I’ve invested a few thousand on TSLA and APPL before and after the splits. So please tell me if I’m onto something
To kids, money isn’t as exciting as adults they just use it to buy toys. To kids toys/ video games is even more exciting than money its like removing the middle man. So for them cashing out their “coins” is just like adults cashing in their chips. The games are set up so that you usually lose(house wins). Take the claw game for example, sure you might get that cool toy with only $1 worth of tokens but it will probably take more like 6 (for a $2 stuffed animal).
TIFU by accidentally creating a casino for 5th graders and discovering that one of the kid's parents had a gambling problem
Obligatory happened Monday, but we've been dealing with the consequences all week (with a surprisingly wholesome ending) I work in a 5th grade class, and free time for board games, coloring, etc. is scheduled in to the day. So we've got a pretty solid collection of board games, some educational some just for fun, including a big set of fake money. While playing other board games, one of our students always happens to bring out the fake money and suggests that they wagewin it it on the game they're playing. Seems fairly harmless to us teachers, just adds a layer of friendly competition while they learn to manage money. Fast forward to yesterday when for free time, we decide to teach the kids some simple card games. Things like Go Fish, slapjack, crazy 8's, etc. One of them however, we called "21", which was literally just Blackjack with a different name and no betting. I think you can see where this is going. That kid that always brings out the fake money does what you'd expect, and the card game they all decided to bet on happened to be "21". We didn't catch it until it was already too late, at which point we promptly ended free time. And what a surprise it was when we got emails and texts from angry parents barely an hour after school has ended. A bit of talking with all the parents leads us to asking the kid that always brings the money out why he does that. He tells us that his father that he visits on the weekends plays games online and with his friends and that they always bet money on them. We ask the father about this, non confrontational, we just wanted to let him know what's going on and get his side of things. He breaks down. He admits that he's got a bad gambling problem and apologizes over and over again. Says he's been trying to keep it away from his kid and never wanted him to pick up his habits. And to be fair, playing poker with your buddies on the weekend is a perfectly normal thing for a guy to do, and the kid saw it as such and didn't know his dad had a problem. Anyway, the dad swears this is his wakeup call and that he's going to get help. Hopefully he does, he cares a lot about his kid and this seemed genuine. Tl;dr: Teachers teach kids to play card games during free time, one of them being "21" (Blackjack). One kid decides to bet fake money on 21, leading to angry parents. We find out the kid learned it from his dad, who admits to having a gambling problem and vows to change his ways.
ITM ranked #21 in best albums of the year by The Forty-Five: "All synthy, star-spangled choruses, cheesy guitar licks, and Brandon Flowers’ theatre-kid drawl. As flashy and fun as a night in the casino."
I was feeling generous today, normally I do the casino heist with just 2 people in total.Today I decided to invite 3 people.I made a group post that said “know how to hack”and”have experience with the heist”.when the 3 of them got in,they were all kids.I asked them,”do you guys know how to hack?they tell me “yes...”.next thing you know, when we get to the vault,I see all 3 of them looking for a open door,as I am the only one hacking...
Half submerged Titanic model in the Hollywood Casino in Tunica, MS. With a bonus shark coming from the ceiling. Looking into the water scared the crap out of me as a kid, and I still get uneasy just looking at the pics.
It might be illegal to bring a kid to a casino, but there's no law bringing the casino to them
let us not forgot about our bundles only movement, it is not ethical to make a player spend 100's of dollars for a specific cool virtual item filled with hundreds of fillers and not even giving assurity of obtaining the item. say no to "GAMBLING". Developers are in state of denial where loot boxes are much cherished and desirable at the cost of game integrity. This claim could be easily subjected to opinions if the game were in a perfect condition, but no, lags, frame rate drops and desync. P.s : had my game crashed for 6 times today What in the hell is even going on this game, kids spending their parents credits card on basically a perfectly concealed "casino" . even in a casino a 100 dollars investment could pay you atmost 20 dollars in return, but what about this gambling in codm, a shit load of fillers and a few desirable items that are worthless out of this goldilocks box of community. Several companys are being scrutinized all over the world. This kinda gambling is further fueled by ignorant money gamblers. the change is within us, we are the people and whole community of this game without which this game could not have achieved what it did in this one year. here aree few examples; 1;EA faces yet another class-action lawsuit connected to loot boxes 2: microsofts forza motorsport has removed loot boxes 3: even fortnite has removed loot boxes I know that the whole purpose of developing a game is to earn a profit and get this game going. in 2008 activison/blizzard was valued at 21 billion dollars ,with the introduction of loot boxes the gross profits sky rocketed by 61 billion dollars in 2018. sure these are immense amounts of cash grabs these tech giants were able to loot from millions of 5year old kids spending their moms credit card ,at what point this kinda system crosses the line between a moral business structure to more of like a money hungry capitalist company. common guys we can change this, please continue the bundle only moment and try not buy crates. p.s: this opinion doesn't incite any hatred towards the most beloved game ,but a constructive criticism about the falling standards of what this game means to us.
